Bulk Infrastructure has signed an agreement with amazon web services to allow the cloud computing giant to use Havfrue, a Bulk Infrastructure undersea cable.
The deal includes a visit to an infrastructure data center in southern Norway and Havfrue connection, an undersea cable system that links the U.S. states of New Jersey, Ireland, Norway, Denmark and the rest of Europe.
Havfrue undersea optical cable system is jointly developed by Bulk Infrastructure, Facebook and Google, and deployed by TESubCom. While Bulk Infrastructure will become the owner and landowner of the Norwegian branch of the system, submarine cable supplier and operator Aqua Comms will operate most of the routes.
Havfrue is scheduled to be operational by the end of this year.
